Objective: The main objectives of the CoE are:
- To Develop a world class “Industry 4.0 lab” in Odisha and be the preferred start-up destination of the country.
- To promote entrepreneurship and Innovation in emerging technology and to help domestic start-ups go global.
- To create a high potential ecosystem and platform for taking up Industry 4.0 implementation through judicious deployment of Analytics, IOT, Cyber Security, AI & ML and other emerging technologies for the industrial sector.
- To promote innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs &start-ups in emerging technology in Industry 4.0 space by providing necessary infrastructure, mentoring, marketing, funding and a conducive eco-system interconnecting all stakeholders.
- To generate employment opportunities and provide impetus to the economic & social growth of the region as well as the country.
- Creating skilled and industry-ready manpower on emerging technology.
Focus Areas: Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Platform and Micro services development for Industry 4.0 implementation in the Domain of Mining, Utilities(water, Electricity, Renewal Energy), Health Care and Skill Developement.

Target Beneficiaries: 150 innovative start-ups in the Emerging Technologies catering to Industry 4.0 (Physically and virtually).
Duration: 5 years.
Budget & Source of Funding: The total project cost is Rs. 21.25 Crore, wherein, MeitY’s contribution is Rs 6.13 Cr. STPI is Rs 2.16 Cr. and Govt. of Odisha is Rs. 12.96 Cr.
